My apologies to all those that have been posting and trying to join. I have been away from this thread for a while. Kinda forgot about it.

I no longer have a Xeon Processor. Perhaps it is time to transfer management of the thread to someone else. If anyone is interested in assuming the management of this thread feel free to PM me and we will get in touch with a Forum Mod to transfer it over.

Hi All,

I just joined, having discovered this forum. I recently acquired a Dell Precision 470. I upgraded it to dual 3.8 ghz irwindale processors, 8 gb ram, ati radeon hd 4850 graphics card, and a wd 7200 rpm hard drive. I installed windows 7 64 bit, and it's running very well.

Just one big question.. When I installed CPU-Z, It only showed one irwindale processor. Is there a reason for this? I'm relatively new to servers, but even if the 2nd processor is just to off load work to, I thought CPU-Z would still list both. In the posts, I noticed post #126 of 202, by McBrown.CA which shows CPU-Z showing both, so I'm a bit confused.

I'd really appreciate the help. thank you

I love my Xeon X3480 + Maximus III Gene, with one setting in the BIOS, my Mushkin Redline is running at 2133 MHz flawlessly, couldn't even get close to that on my FX-8150...
