If the above was true, then why did they not work with the 2 conroes on XS? The only 1 I know of is Victor wang, and he is using the 965.
If I am not mistaken, they got it to work on a 975? Maybe not, that is the biggest problem with Conroe. Nowon knows what it is going to work on!

You are mistaken, I fallowed the entire thread, well threads both of them, before it was even posted here. They did NOT get the 975 to work, not in the P5WD2 E, Work Station nor did they get it to work in the Intel 975x with the Bad Axe chip. The only guy that has got the conroe goign (that has posted anything) is Victor wang, and he used a pre-production 965 board.

I havent bothered to read some of the posts, but for some of em right now I know for a fact on Anandtech when they tested the Core Duo it was basically as fast as a Athlon X2 with 512kb of cache per core if memory serves me correctly.

If you want to know about Conroe, just remember it is an improvement on this...

Here are some Core Duo benchmarks. The Core Duo matches the FX60 every benchmark and beats in it other when overclocked to 2.6Ghz. What is interesting is that the Core Duo has it largest margin of victory in the gaming benchmarks, where AMD has traditionally lead it. Unfortionately the motherboard would not let them go any farther, but other have gotten the T2500 up to 3.5Ghz.

Edit* Images won't link....
