Finalizing my SB build. I am right about to purchase:

Asus P8P67 Deluxe $240 (from Microcenter)
Core i7 2600K $295 (from Microcenter)
2x Patriot G series ‘Sector 5’ Edition 8GB (2 x 4GB) $160 (from Newegg)

This good? Or should I get a different motherboard?

Why are you getting 8gb of RAM?? Get a set of cas 7 1600 ram and you will be fine. No need for 8gb just cuz you're getting SB

i will be needing all of the memory. this build is going to be mainly used for audio/video editing (uncompressed)...I will need it all tongue.gif

i will probably underclock it to 1333MHz as well and tighten the timings or w/e works best for me.

Intel likes a higher frequency. AMD likes the tight timings.
