oo dont forget the uv neons( they add an extra 10 mhz i`m sure )
i am a dirty noob when it comes to over clockin and dont rely know where to start.
i have speed fan and cpu-z also ai booster comes with my mobo but i cant seam to get it to do any thing. o and i have nvidia`s expert tool. (test function dosnt seam to work)
i have the retail fan at the mo as well as 5 case fans but will look into better cooling when my wallet gets out of hospital. i`d like to go for water in the end
but for now i`ve been eying up an artic coole freeser pro
any way i digress.. i`m looking for about 3ghz from my cpu so ny help would be greatly recieved
i`ll be back
How come in those six weeks you didn't learn that an nForce is pure crap for overclocking? I mean, if overclocking your E6600 you want, you might as well ditch the nForce 4 chipset MoBo for a P965 and you'll see the E6600 fly.
A 333fsb overclock? I'm not even sure if that's been done with that mobo but I hope you do get lucky.
i have just spent the best part of a grand on this pc so i aint gonna go out and spend more on a mobo when i got a perfectly good one here.
i`m not into eliteism i just want to get a bit more from the parts i have.
after all is this not the point of overclockin this is how it all started
oo and i case you didnt get it i was kiddin about the lights
I think what everyone is saying is, you just put a super-charged V8 in a VW bus. It's OK, I made the same mistake when I started. Just keep in mind, that there are really two rational directions to go here:
1) Gaming rig with zero-lag
2) Psychotic overclocking benchmarks
With your rig, you haven't really achieved either goal. You sort of built a machine with parts from both. The CPU is worthy of goal #2, but the MoBo would have worked with goal #1 if the video was better and the CPU wasn't as powerful.
Anyway, check out the Forum and you will see how everything works together to help you achieve whatever your goal is.
Cheers and welcome!
