Its here at last. My Conroe and Ram and Mobo turned up 5 minutes ago!

Can you guys tell me if this stepping is good?

Also my ram is Corsair XMS 2 6400 C4 and the chips say XMS 6404 v2.1. Are they good chips?

Cheers Guys

According to The_Manual, week 28 are supposed to be the best o/c'ers so far. You seem to have week 29, so, presumably that will be almost as good.

Ask The_Manual. He'll most probably know .

That processor is a week 29

For E6600's only, if this is an E6700 then ignore this.

Weeks 28, 29 and 30 are supposedly the best weeks for overclocking as the Silicon levels during this time period were the most pure.
Good luck overclocking your processor. I would expect at least 2.9-3.0GHz on stock voltage

Thanks guys

I also heard that on the E6600 anything from week 28 onwards is a good overclocker.

Its all together now, just have to install windows and then its benchie time

I've got the latest Bios for the P5B on floppy, should I update the bios first before installing windows? I think I should

Ta

Bios is reading 24c cpu temp...........thats pretty good for stock?
