I'm building a basic, run-of-the-mill general-use rig based on stock clocks and need a little help with a couple parts before pulling the trigger. Parts that I'm certain of are bolded.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570
MOBO: Gigabyte B85M-D3H or MSI B85-G43
RAM: 2x4GB kit of DDR3-1600 CL9 @ 1.5v (whichever model's cheapest at the time of purchase)
HDD: WD Blue WD10EZEX (1TB @ 7200RPM)
DVD: 24x burner (whichever model's cheapest at the time of purchase)
PSU: Rosewill Capstone-450-M or SeaSonic G-450
CASE: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (already purchased)
Of course the major problem is that there's been literally no professional reviews on any non-Z87 Haswell boards, which is problematic for non-OC builds like that. Does anyone have any input to add?
BTW, I'm putting off acquiring / installing a video card and SSD until Black Friday rolls around in ~2 months, but here's what I have envisioned (if prices work out)...
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
Video Card: GTX 760 2GB
