It looks promising if it could really hit 600FSB. It is a bit expensive maybe they will release a lower end model with 1 or 2 (probably) PCI-e x16 slots and less features like, less SATA ports etc... for around $250

I won't have the cooling to get up to a 600 fsb anyway. I'll stick with something like a DS3.

I'm still going to hold out for the new nvidia 680i SLI chipset board. Supposed to be November release. It will probably be similar in price.

Also, thats the last ATI chipset board for intel, right? I read an article mentioning that recently. Makes sense in light of the recent merger. Now if nvidia would just release WHQL drivers that enable SLI on intel chipsets (Without me having to use modded older drivers), I might not have to switch at all. Although have dual 16x lanes for sli would be better than 8x8x.

Where did you read this????? Everyone says it and no proof. Its rumor and speculation. I read a statment somewhere (and i will look for it) that intel isnt gonna hold out on ATI...

Since ATI can't make any more chipsets for Intel this better be a good one. Hmm, seems we posted at the same time. I am pretty sure Intel did not pull the license like a lot of people thought, they just didn't renew it, so ATI had 1 year to finish up the chipset before the license expired.

Unfortunately yes, and Amd re-assigned half of the development team when the chipset was being de-bugged. Hopefully this hasn't hindered the chipset.
