Hey guys, I'm working on my GFs computer and i'm trying to put my old 7870 on a Asrock h61m/u3s3 and it's just not working.
I have updated the bios to 2.40 (latest) and still nothing. It was running a GTX480 no problem, but wont run a 7870....any help?

What happens when you boot? Do the fans spin up?

The PCI-E power cables plugged in securely to the GPU and PSU (if modular)? Are you able to test the 7870 in another PC? Have you tried removing the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS?

The power cables are in all the way. I was running that GPU in my computer until about a week ago (when i got my new GPU). I have just updated the bios to the latest. Why do you recommend taking the battery out??
