They dont make a s478 board w/PCIe
you will have to upgrade to LGA 775 to take advantage of PCIe
I would say sell your current computer and pickup a socket 939 or 754 AMD computer. There fairly cheap at the moment and probably worth it. But for now, i would say your computer is good untill windows vista and 64 bit computing hits the market full throttle.

I have seen one similar to that, built by asrock though. It had the same chipset (Intel 915P) but the Asrock only supported a few graphics cards. I went to the manufacture's websight and tried to look at the manual, http://www.albatron.com.tw/english/i...asp?pro_id=160 but i cant download stuff because im in a LAN center. For overclocking, you wont get anywhere, but read the manual and see if it will support more than a few PCIe cards. (the Asrock only supported like 4 cards)

Man are you sure, cause i saw the same on and it was a totally different motherboard for like $50, i think this one is the real deal, this is my only option. Maybe a new cpu can fix things up

I was shure about the Asrock mobo only supporting certain gfx cards, read the manual, that will give you the shure answer.
If you do decide to go for a new CPU, such as an LGA775, that will really open up a new range of much better motherboards.

depending on how much you want to spend, there is some of the LGA775 series processors. If you do choose one, make shure it supports 64bit and it has 1MB+ on the L2 cache if you plan to OC.

I d/l the albatron manual and it made no mention of which pci-e cards it supports or doesn't support. So does anyone know if it will support a 6800gs? I am planning on going the pci-e route w/o changing my cpu yet but with that albatron board. Thanks.

Need list of supported models. Or can it take any pci-e card?
