so my razer lycoza finally decided to die. I've been using this for I think 3 years now. the rubber keys are badly worn out and the enter key is wobbly. I had to replug the usb keyboard once in a while when typing because sometimes randomly a key won't work. I hated it the whole time I had it tbh. to be fair this was actually the first "decent" keyboard that I've owned. I had always used those uber cheap keyboards.

to start off I know absolutely nothing about mechanical keyboards. I've only typed on a mechanical keyboard once my entire life. that's with a razer blackwidow ultimate. I liked how clicky it was and I like the feel. I've heard nothing but good things with ducky keyboards. I've always thought they were really expensive. I checked the price and they were actually priced really well

I'm thinking of getting the DK1008. I have no idea what keyboard switch would be best for me. I want it to be clicky tho like the razer blackwidow ultimate was.

and btw why are red switches more expensive then blue, black, brown? are red switches the best?

TIA OCN thumb.gif

red switches are generally more expensive is because they are the "gamer" switch. They have the lowest force required to press the button and they have no tactile feedback. Nothing inherently makes them more expensive, its more of demand/marketing price raise. If you want it to be clickly then blue switch on your list that clicks.

All of them are a good choice u should just pick the one u like best.

I know this isn't the best solution, but what I did was buy the sampler pack with switches from WASD keyboards. Keep in mind that everyone is different and what's good for one person might not be for another. Always try before you buy!
