For warranty and laptop build I cannot fault Dell. Sony are good but WAY to expensive for what they are.

Agreed. I bought my Dell Laptop and havent looked back. Great performance for the price. I got my Notebook in my sig for $1,080 shipped with taxes. I also went with Dell for their warranty and i did call Customer Service once and they were great to me! Overall I am very very happy with my Dell. (I would never buy a Dell Desktop though...)

I had a HP to play with for a week. It was an HP 6707 with a AMD 1.9 Dual Core, 2Gb RAM, and 7150m GPU. Great notebook! Extremely great design. The only thing that made me not like the HP was the weak and I mean WEAK 7150m GPU it had. Nothing against the HP, just the Nvidia Card that was in there. If I found a HP with specs that I wanted I would buy it for sure.
