Linux from Scratch is for MASOCHISTS. If you have to consider whether you want to use it or not, you should _NOT_ be using it. Sort of like a welding torch...if you're not quite sure if that's what you're looking for STAY AWAY lol.

I assume you want US-illegal codecs for firefox? Nobody cares...just get Ubuntu + Automatix + Whatever you want. Using nvidia drivers isn't illegal, it's just not FSF-sanctioned, nor theoretically recommended. EVERYBODY USES THEM.

Could you be a tad more clear as to what exactly you want out of this distro?

you should be able to speak english before you make your own distro

Mediocre sound setup tongue.gif:
Chaintech AV710 (Wolfson DAC) --> Sony Reciever/Amp --> HD555 or Altec Lansing 2.1
iPod 5.5 --> JVC Marshmallows/HD435/HD215

*****...it _says_ he's from the United States...

Cleaning up your posts makes you look like you're more intelligent. Believe it or think it's bs, either way...it's true. Your grammar is a main component of perceived intelligence on a forum...

Well I know you've tried the *buntu's and Debian, so how about slackware, or FreeBSD.
