I have 3 modules of 512MB Simpletech DDR2533 RAM and I was wondering since I haven't heard of them if they are know like G.Skill or OCZ...
The sticks I have don't even have heatsinks, that's why I was wondering, as it might just be very low-end memory.

If it is a no-name, can you tell me if it is overclockable? I am building a Core 2 Duo rig next week, and I would like to get my e300 to at least 2.4Ghz...

Thx for the help!

Ive never heard of them. Since they have no heat spreaders on them, could you post what the writing on the chips are? That way we can figure out what type of chip the RAM uses and how overclockable they are.

Lol, save yourself the trouble and get some nice set of RAM. Those RAM might not even boot into BIOS or allow you to install Windows if the motherboard is picky with RAM.. you can always try but your going to have to get a better set eventually.

Simpletech has been around for some time, they are usually common middle of the road stuff but who knows... If you could post the info on the ICs someone may be able to tell you more!

You never know, sometimes no-name value ram uses good chips like TCCD. A while back a member posted that he found his value ram used TCCD.

Here's what is written on it:
-Devices
ED540512T-533
0607

There is also a sticker with :
"Enfenion Quality RAM " written on it (isn't it Enfinion?)

Btw, just checked my current RAM, it's Simpletech also. DDR400 @ 3.3.3.8
cost me almost 100$ for the 1GB DIMM
