Ok, so after googling, it seems that G. Skill actually is a respectible brand, or so it seems. I guess i'm just uneasy with hearing new names. Odd... :/

A review of G Skill 2gb Pc 4000
G.Skill is a very respectable brand. I pretty much exclusively get my RAM from them, always high quality, and usually the lowest price of the bunch. The G.Skill HZs are some of the most popular RAM sets on this site, along with GeIL TCCDs and G.Skill BH-5 sets.

hmm... they look about the same to me. ones 3-3-3-8 ddr400, and the others 3-4-4-8 ddr500. they probably overclock just as well as the other one does. i mean, corsair has been known as one of the top competitors for years, and g.skill has been known for less than a year... they both got 5 egg ratings...
personally i'd just buy one lol...
the sooner the better
they're both o/cable i'd bet
get the g.skill i guess, its rated at 2.6-2.8V and the corsair only gets 2.6V
that means it can o/c more i'd say.
theyre both good though

G.Skill offer a 1 year warrenty on their HZs. This is because it is overclocking kit, and they know you will overclock it. That is what i have anyway here in the UK, i dunno why you think it is lifetime.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

DDR400 & DDR500 Mean somthing... The timings that are shown for the memory (depending on speed), are the timings that the memory will run WHILE at that speed.

So Since the DDR500 will run at 3-4-4-8, I'm pretty sure that it will run maybe... 2.5-3-3-6 @ DDR400

If you want to overclock ram, you can up the voltage and also loosen the timings to clock higher. If you purchase ram that can only run CAS 3 at 200 mhz, how on Earth do you plan to loosen the timings any further? CAS 3 is the loosest available for DDR.
