Do you have huge hands made for baseketball? No? You will never like the Boomslang CE.

I wish I could find the old forum post I saw where some Korean dude with tiny hands bought one. Dude's tiny hands palm grip was hilarious.

i had that suspicion before i got it, but it was fairly cheap and in decent shape. in short i just couldn't help myself
funny how all these S3688 mice seem to share a similar bug where tracking sometimes goes to shid after lifting the mouse up.
almost like it re-calibrates, but fails

yup, Rev C (i think is what you mean?)
it has a S3088
wouldn't mind opening it up to check for something else, i don't have feet covering the screw hole anyway.

btw i'm getting the impression that this old rubberized coating doesn't like water very much. every time i lightly wipe it down with some warm water, it seems to get a little bit worse and it leaves dark spots on the piece of cloth. can't really think of a different/dry way to clean it, though.

edit: absolute garbage software for the boomslang. causes a lot of short freezes for either my PC or the mouse itself, and it takes an hour for the mouse to get updated when you apply settings.
at one point i even had to restart my PC to make the mouse work again. i think the software failed to update the settings to the mouse correctly and it just froze the mouse and the software.
as always, unstable 1khz polling, luckily 500hz is fine.
the best part is that this mouse has on-board memory, but to use it at all you must bind any of the buttons to profile-related actions biggrin.gif it's a terrible system. luckily for me i don't give no damns about profiles.

The Saitek/Cyborg/Mad Catz Rat 3 thing makes no sense.

Here's the model from 2010-2011
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 95

Now here's the 2012 model:

Now here's a model that's labeled 3500dpi but is different from the other two and has the CYONS lens:
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 95

Am I only the one that sees 3500 there? Or am I crazy?

Because then there's this 2010-2011 model:
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Now that one says 3200!

What the hell is going?

anyone ever seen this mouse wheel design before?

found it in the boomslang 2007

it's a fairly simple design, but pleasant to use and definitely beats most other scroll wheels. i think it's a shame that razer didn't continue using it. could it have been too expensive?
couldn't find any marks that indicate a brand (i probably just didn't look well enough)

It's a Kingsis thing so a couple of the zowie models have it.
