My buddy bought one of these and I bought a Catleap. My friend's monitor had no pixel defects but there was a piece of dust that does bother him a bit. He is still able to use the monitor though.

My Catleap came in with no pixel defects or other defects.

He took it apart and the dust is in the panel with apparently no way to get further into the panel and take it out. Has anyone successfully taken apart this monitor to the point where they could remove dust trapped in the panel itself? If so, can you give me some tips I can forward to him.

Thanks.

Audio setup: Xonar Essence ST into Niles SI-275 amplifier driving CSW Tower II speakers paired with M&K MX-70 subwoofer. Headphones: DT880 Pro 250ohm

Freak, no glass on the PCBank.

Also, here are some shots of the PCBank internals (though it's pretty much the same as the Catleap) plus an illustration of an easy-buzzing-solution:

- The DVI board
401

- Serial
208

- Metal cover over the pcb
247

- The pcb. Yes, that's two pieces of duct tape added on the back of the cover - eliminates the text-on-white-screen buzzing nicely.

To anyone from the UK, how much customs duty did you have to pay? For people who are not, how much did bigclothcraft mark the item as?

Hey all, after countless monitor threads and 3 returns I have finally decided on this PCBank PB2700 Super monitor. I ordered from bigclothcraft with a best offer of 360. Now I play the waiting game till it arrives at which point I will update everyone on dead/stuck pixels and anything else regarding this order.

Hey guys,

Here's a profile I created with my own i1 Display calibration tool (on the Super version): Link Here

Colors are absolutely perfect on this and this one should not appear red for you guys like the previous one. smile.gif

Just made an offer on this monitor, now waiting to hear from bigcloth. Exciting!

EDIT: I'm far too impatient! It's not after midnight in South Korea, looks like I will be waiting until tomorrow to hear a response

EDIT 2: IT IS TOMORROW AND NO RESPONSE. I should have just coughed up the extra tenner.

I updated my original post with my bad experience purchasing this monitor: http://www.overclock.net/t/1228729/better-27-ips-from-korea-pcbank-3view-pb2700/280#post_16945328

In short the first monitor was broken, I shipped it back to Korea, got the shipping cost reimbursed, he replaced the broken LCD panel inside the unit and sent it back to me.
Purchase date was March 31st and I received the replacement monitor on April 23rd.

No offense but this seems to be a seller specific issue (bad packaging) rather than the monitor itself. Although this is one of the unfortunate incidents that can happen from ordering a monitor from across the world I think it is a case of shipping company not handling a fragile monitor properly and a seller not packing it correctly. Can you elaborate on how the actual monitor performs? are you happy now that it was fixed? hows the picture quality?

btw sorry for your bad luck...
