There are many preceding pages full of potential issues. However most people will have an excellent experience with no problems. I was in the same position and love this monitor. I am glad I didn't get the Asus IPS alternative.

Well I got the accel one. No change. The issue is still there. Benq sent another monitor yesterday and the issue is still there.
I called them back and they are going to send me a newer one (both mine and the one they sent was from june 2015).

If the next one has the same pixel inversion I really don't know what to do....

Hopefully that solves it. I didn't check the date on mine but it is strange they are still shipping out June 2015 models when the thing needed a firmware fix on release...

I had never ending cable problems with my other 2k/144 monitors until i grabbed a pair of monoprice premium DP cables. Had tried the various accel cables without fixing it. DP cables really are a crapshoot when it comes to these monitors, dp1.3 and freesync over hdmi2 can't come soon enough.

Just got my xl2730z in yesterday, very pleased so far. No noticeable blb or bad pixels, and no issues at 144hz. I will say though, dear lord the picture looks like ass out of the box. So bright and washed out, and none of the presets are significantly better. Anyone who gets this absolutely needs to spend some time playing with the calibration. Where does it say when the monitor was manufactured?

On the back. Please, if you don't have any pixel inversion issue, let me know when your panel was manufactured.

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a great 1440P, 144Hz FreeSync monitor and I'm close to pulling the trigger on the BenQXL2730z.

I would like to use the monitor for PC gaming and Xbox One (possibly making this my main monitor and my second BenQ (24) available for twitch streaming).

Questions

1) Has the single-strobe been fixed for console gaming? (I assume if the monitor will display 1080P just fine with its 1:1)
2) Would anyone recommend a different monitor other than this today? (budget is not an issues - preparing for the RX480)

I appreciate the feedback smile.gif

I've tried various settings, one from displaylag, one from tftcentral, different connections, updating drivers, setting windows and nvidia settings to default and there's nothing I can do to fix this issue. Not even changing the HDMI color space to full and limited on Nvidia control panel and via the monitor with HDMI. Also messed with this on display port and no dice as well.

The screen is very blurred, like if there's something wrong with the gamma, contrast, or brigthness and colors look bad and everything is blurry. Is this normal with BenQ XL2730Z? Or should I return it or RMA it?

The firmware version is July 2nd 2015

What is your comparison material?

Sure, color wise it's not the best but mine does look good. If you think it looks off too much RMA it.

But did you calibrate it?
