Yes they do. Every single game that supports custom resolutions (about 90%) supports that. You just gotta create the resolution in your drivers to make it appear in the registry if you want to make it appear in every game.

Or you can just edit the game launch/config files to launch in that resolution

Doesnt really matter. I play in 16:9 FOV because it gives me bigger field of view but also a field of view that the developer intended the game to be played in.

It is great to have the 1920*1200 resolution for old games though but I play those games so rarely.

A gamer should really choose U2311H over U2410. When I bought U2410 i was not aware of the gaming issues with 16:10 and today I would have bought the U2311H instead of U2410.

I'm getting a U2311H.

EDIT:
ahhhh back to square 1 frown.gif

U2311H
U2410
U2711
U3011
ZR24W
ZR30W
Apple 24
Apple 27
Apple 30
Apple iMac 27 (get a 27 screen and a free computer?)

QUESTION:
If I go to 27/30, will textures start to look low res?

EDIT 2:
I will probably never go with dual/tri monitors, I hate bezels and will stick to 1 screen.

I read that you hate black bars and then the only options should be U2311H, U2711 or Apple 27.

IPS vs my current LED TN Samsung PX2370?
Basically this, IPS is newer tech. Colours are more vivid at the sacrifice of brightness.

ok

but 23/24 vs 27/30?

I will love having a big screen but for competitive gaming?

For the U2410/ZR24W, Do I have the option of running it in 1080p instead of native 1200p?

Another frap question: can I run game @ 1200p and rec in 1080p?

And in cod4 promod, will the fov look weird and demo files show up differently?

should I consider 120 hz monitors?

If youre getting a 27" or 30" its going to be so big and tall the 16:9 won't seem that bad.
However, if you are only getting a 23" or 24", I highly recommend the 1920 X 1200 16:10 panel. The extra inch or two of vertical viewing space is more then it sounds and the 16:9 monitors look quite thin compared to them.

I wish I had a 16:10, we have 24" 16:10's LCD's at work for Radiology scans and they dwarf my 23" 16:9.
