hey everyone! when ever i try to download any kind of file on any computer in my network it will get maybe 1/4 to 1/2 the the thru the file and just freeze all of the sudden..it still says its downloading it..the speed does not change at all..and the progess bar does not move at all..and it will stay like that all night...and also when i try look at a picture on the internet when its loading it it will load about half of it and just freeze right there..this happens on both comptuers on my network..and it also does it when the computers are plugged straigt into the modem..both of the comuters have just been formatted so i dont think its spyware or viruses or anything..we have SBC Yahoo DSL and a Microsoft Broadband router..if anyone has any ideas at all will you please help me its really starting to get annoying now

my parent's network does that.....the router momentarily loses the connection....get a download manager like DAP, it will resume when connection s available.

I've chcked out my parent's router and there is nothing to say why it happens...mystery problem with the D-Link 614 wireless

I've just hooked them up with DAP for when they cant download through other programs ie. P2P and torrents.

it still does it though even when i am not using the router if i just plug my computer straight into the modem

Go here and take the line packet loss test. You have to signup but its free. post the results and I will help you.

Or you can simply do a ping -t yahoo.com for about 2 minutes and see if any fail. Note the ping time as well.Either way, let me know.

i tryed to run the test and every time i do it says my ip is not pingable from there site..i disable zonealarm and turned off the windows firewall but it still does it.

ok i ran the ping to yahoo the time was usually in the 70's ms everyonce in a while it would go up to around 400ms there have been several request that have timed out the ttl was either 44 or 45
