this - what exactly ? high idle latency ?

and guru3D plainly shows no stutter in games, which is also what I and plenty of other Pascal users are seeing as well

Stutter in games is a symptom of poor DPC latency and DPC latency spikes. You do not say that you do not have a disease because you're missing one of the symptoms of a particularly severe case of that disease.

I don't believe in "good enough"~!!

240hz / gsync / low persistence is AWESOME

if they dont affect my performance and PC usage then they can spike all they want

but like I already posted on page 1, I get low latency when GPU clock is high and higher latency at low/idle (240 Mhz) GPU clock

so this seems like a case by case basis, where it an issue if it turns into stutter or otherwise affects performance

I have a 970 and my DPC latency is consistently about 1ms, regardless of what I'm doing.

EDIT: Latency Checker doesn't properly support Win 8, so that might be why.

How about you use the free programs to show us the latency from the card you supposedly have instead of smokescreening a problem nvidia confirmed they have?

And guess what,I also have a 1080,when I setup an aircooled board I will do the same,we can compare all day long.

G3D < Nvidia....

Nvidia drivers and latency has always been a problem really.
With this driver its a bit more then useal with NV but i dont know what the fuss is about really.

For years the drivers gave huge latency even when idle, luckely thats better now.

Why wasnt it a problem for basicly all but a few then and is it a problem for everyone now ?

Maybe somethng else was wrong, they checked latency and saw a big load of latency from NV drivers and therefore blamed all there PC problems to that.
Even though NV drivers gave them a big amount of latency before problems started to and they couldnt even notice it.

1ms is huge !
thats 1000us !

Use latencymon and it will probably be no where near 1ms, attleast i hope not for you.

It says it supports Win 10. Either way, it certainly doesn't report the same thing.

Assuming I'm looking at the right thing (Highest reported DPC routine execution time), LatencyMon says that it doesn't go above 400us, although it's pretty close to that. Most of the indicators look fine. The only one that redlines is the highest hard pagefault resolution time, which after doing little more than start up Steam is a whisker under 180000us.

yes, that one was always very high (much much higher the the first 4 bars in LatMon) for me too

You look at the top 2 measurements. (interupts)
Thats the part that can be felt/heart while listening music/gaming.

ISR and DPC routine latency can only be felt/heart when its a driver specificly involving sound and/or display (graphics)
You will notice network drivers standing out in latency here.

Pagefault is hard to explain, even more so when using several drives, ssd's and pagefiles.
