I will have to do nothing to it. I own a thermaltake core x9 case so the motherboard is horizontal versus vertical. However I did own once a devil 13 290x2 gpu and it came with a pole stick that you can adjust. Maybe you can make something like that or use some cable straps? I read some people did that. By the way my card will be here today Monday. smile.gif

You can use fishing line to tie the video card to the top of the case. Or if your case allows it zip tie the end of the card to a tie-on point . At one point Powercolor sold that jack on its own, have a look around and see if you can find one. You can fab one yourself if you're so inclined.

Sometimes the only way to make people aware of a fire is to set the whole town ablaze.

In terms of cooling I found the MSI gaming X to be the best where it maxed out at 71C in my rig, the EVGA SC was second maxing at 73C, and the Asus strix OC was the worst reaching 76C.

Also in terms of noise levels the MSI gaming X was also significantly quieter , where as the EVGA SC and Asus strix were similar. The Gaming X and Strix OC both seemed to OC the same amount, with both reaching a stock boost of 1936MHz core clock during extended gaming and both OCing over 2050Mhz (I didn't try going past this). The EVGA SC was not as good however, as it fluctuated between 1860-1920MHz and couldn't reach 2050Mhz core clock. In terms of build quality the EVGA SC seemed the best, and the Asus and MSI were tied for second.

I was a little disappointed with the Asus strix OC 1070 since I upgraded from an Asus strix 970 and assumed it would be equal in terms of cooling, noise levels, and build quality. However it was a slight downgrade on all fronts except in performance and the fact it had RGB lighting. The MSI gaming X 1070 however is easily just as quiet and the temps are nearly just as good as my old Asus strix 970 (which maxed at 69C in my rig).
best are Zotac extreme and Palit/gainward.Those have 3slot cooler and have best temperatures and are most quieter.
i have gainward and after OC to 2140/9400 card have only 64-65°C and 1000-1200RPM.
If i use default fan curve card reach 68°C with 800-900RPM.

I am using the BIOS posted in pg.132 which is the OC version of Asus ROG Strix 1070. I too have Asus ROG STRIX 1070 but it is not a OC version. I get the Certficate error like in the end below

This is my cmd:

FYI, I renamed my file to "ROM_NAME" and my command

Please help me with the correct OC ROM version(ROG STRIX GTX 1070 OC) if what I am using is wrong. Thanks in advance.

Wrong version you've got m8
From my experience, flashed almost every 1070 BIOS out there - best results obtained are with the stock one...
Just a quick Time Spy bench 2126/9600
