Installed the nickel back plate today:

Those millions of little resistors made me nervous running bare for the last 6 weeks. Feels better to have some armor there now.

Hey there!

I'm new on the forums although I've been reading this thread for some time.
My TX is watercooled and I'm running +225MHz core and +675MHz mem. When playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided the card boosts up to 2088MHz. Depending on the temp it clocks down to approx. 2040MHz at max. 55 degrees - which are the highest temps I got until now after hours of running at 100% load in DE:MD.

I was quite surprised to get that high temps in Deus Ex... I haven't seen and temps above 44 degrees until now.
Is anyone getting similar temps? Or is it just my insufficient radiator?

You should have cracked 11G with those clocks, maybe ram too high? I might move on to 1080 SLI in order to push Star Citizen@4k.....3.0 should be dropping before the Year is out... Oops, my bad, you are only at 2063 core.. redface.gif

Hey seems temps are little high.. I have 2 black ice nemesis 360gtx in loop running 6700k 4.8 and my xp runs 40c max that's gaming hours,it is cooler now in new England played gtav 2 hours temps 34c..
What kind of block I have ek .and I don't think it is as good fit as my 980 ti or my titan x was..i did not have my spark plug gapper gauge but if you look at 4 ram chips closest to vrm as I lower does not make good contact..so I took out.5 vrm tried again not great fit. I only looked cuz when I took off block I could see other side spots where thermal pad left little squares spots on copper..any way mabe only my block not telling anyone to try but I took 1 mm and replaced .5 on vrm and also added 1 mm to vrm ek gives you nothing for I carefully placed down makes good contact on mine ..still does not appear to hit 4 closest vram chips so I put thermal grizzly on and tighten tested ...I now see benefit with ram 750 where before over +710 would bring score down. 20160930_173549_resized.jpg 383k .jpg file 20160930_171628.jpg 1977k .jpg file 20160930_173549_resized.jpg 383k .jpg file also seems to be misconception on shunt mod.. it is easy and take 25min and like anything if clumsy do not try..do not use pliers buy right tool if can afford 1200 card>>>>>> I took electric tape placed over shunt that would drip on chip below then put glue from glue gun on tape to make a catch..glue will come off and not damage card..them put painters tape around shunt lay thin layer clu..next blow dry carefully let cool put an other coat so you make sure to lower tdp.. blow dry again.. remove tape clean up done .. my card is not lotto winner but I get 2114 gaming for hours no down clock ..also see many people messing up your card I feel bad for you make sure to take your time.. I wish there was someone who would crack bios already.. I took a look am over my head I think we should start a paypal pool and come up with 500.00 dollars to make it worth someones time to crack????
