RivaTuner seems very powerful so far. But I have questions, hope someone here is an expert with it.

1.) Can I get my fan temps to show in the taskbar without having to open rivatuner and startup the hardware monitoring?

2.) I've created profiles that should alter the fan speed when certain temps are reached. I learned this from a RivaTuner guide, but I don't think the fan speeds are changing when these temps are reached. Is there a way to monitor fan speed? Which leads to my next question....

3.) My hardware monitoring system that comes with RivaTuner doesn't show fan speed, but I've seen screenshots of rivatuner with the fan speed meter, I can't figure out how to enable it.

Basically all it comes down to is I'd like to know my temps, and fan speeds without opening up rivatuner then opening up a big hardware monitor graph. And finally I'd like my fans to speed up when the GPU gets hot.

I've heard ntune can do bad things to a system though.

Rivatuner cannot detect the correct fan speed on most G92s.

The current version is pretty old.

By default it can't but you can make changes to make it work.

Make changes to the .config file in the installed directory of the program. you have to add -600h to the line in the file and your card will be automatically detected by R.tuner.

Here's a good guide to setup the program to your tastes.

On my old P4 I had no issues at all with nTune...

On my E8400 nTune was giving me BSOD everytime I tried to open it or nVidia panel...When I uninstalled nTune I never got another problem...

It's easier to beg for forgiveness then to ask for permission...Just ask my wife...biggrin.gif
