Why not buy the 8800GTS 512 for $100 less and just sacrifice losing 1 frame.

The GTS in canada is about 400.00 around where I live, and the GTS varies depending on the e-tailer. Runs anywhere from 290 - 350 + online.

Not to mention, the 9800GTX will definitely overclock better, run cooler, with much less power consumption; read any review on the 9800GTX, you'll see.

My friend is running a 9800GTX and has the core clocked to 820. So they will also OC quite a bit. I think you are making the right purchase.

yeah, the OC potential is what is making me go crazy for them. Those type of clocks are not at all typical of the GTS's. And like I keep saying, with the step-up program, I don't see any loss, only gain..
