Would pre-ordering the BenQ XL2420TX screen be really worth it if I'm eyeing for NVIDA 3D Vision 2 and 120Hz?

Who knows? You would be one of the first buyers on the market. It sounds like its a great option provided that it doesn't have any issues.

Hi,

I plan to join this club very soon (as soon as the ASUS VG278H or BENQ XL2420TX are in stock at a reputable dealer).

How do the members of this club feel my 3D Vision experience will be running a single EVGA 560 Ti 448 Classified card (1.2GB GDDR5) .

Can I expect to have a good experience on a single 560 Ti 448? (Highest quality is not expected of course)

Thank you for your opinion.

I would STRONGLY advice you to get a second card for 3D

in 1080p modern games will suffer.

Thanks ARDA, this is the kind of feedback I'm looking for.
I don't want to spend another $300 unless I absolutely have to, but if all signs point to SLI, I'm willing.

What about 3D movies, could a single 560 Ti 448 card handle a 3D blu-ray movie smoothly?

Sure 3d movies will be fine... First try with 1 560 and see if lowering settings help. İf not grab another 560 or look into the new kepler cards. A very very good 3d experience will require an sli setup with good gpus or a single 580 or 590. İ had a gtx 570 before my 590 and 570 was just ok in modern games. İ had to lower some settings.

I was surprised with how many games ran well in 3d with a single GTX570 and I doubt that the difference between that and a GTX560ti is noticeable.

I think I'll wait until the Integrated IR emitter LED Monitors are cheaper before I make the upgrade, so I can enjoy PS3 gaming in 3D too.

Thank you for your opinion.

Very much depends on what games you want to play. You can play most of not all low demanding games in 3D of course, most 3D games cut about half of your FPS so make that your benchmark of 3D performance, as it is essentially running two copies of the game at the same time. You can of course lower the detail of the game as well to fit your needs.

For movies, you should be able to run any as they hardly take any graphic card processing power at all.

Who's that dealer you are talking about? I'm planning to buy the XL2420TX as well.
