Ok, I want the 7900gtx superclocked the 690mhz one. http://www.evga.com/products/moreinf...5-AX&family=22

It retails at $579.99, but am from the uk and even if it was sold any where in europe it would not be around $579.99 more like $700.00.

Ok, heres my plan am gonna buy this graphics card http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=347686 it will cost $87.44.

So if I use the step up program and request the super clock card will I pay the difference for the $579.99 or will they charge me more as I live in europe? Also is scan a subscribed retailer and will they accept the 7300 card?

Keep in mind that you will have to pay eVGA's prices on the card, which tend to be a lot more than what you see in an online retail store, by the time you go through all the hassle of paying for a lot of shipping you're better off sellingthe 7900GT and just buying a 7900GTX

I dont have a graphics card yet, I was going to buy the xfx 7900gt. Anyway in the UK a XFX 7900gtx 650mhz costs around £380.00. But if I use the step up program I can get a eVGA 7900gtx superclocked 690mhz for £325.00

Sounds like it should work, but I'm not completely sure.

Any way you look at it, it's a wash or loss to you, the only time that it typically works out to your benefit is if you had a last generation card like a bunch of people got 7900GT's for very little money or no cost at all

Here's the break down of what you are trying to do

£50 (inc VAT) for the 7300GS
£380 (inc VAT) for the 7900GTX (from eVGA's site w/ VAT)

You pay £330 more to get the 7900GTX, not to mention you have to pay for the shipping both ways and you could be paying taxes on the product here in the states as well as paying for the VAT once it gets to you.

eVGA knows there are people out there trying to cheat the system and get a card that is cheaper to step up to a top tier card but their marketing people know that people will try to do such a thing so that is why they price them the way they do, so it's either a wash to the consumer or more for the cosumer to Step-Up from a low end card.

Save your self the time (probably 1 month, since you'll probably be put on a waiting list) and money because in the end it's going to cost you mroe than what you think and just buy the 7900GTX
