Would it be worth it to go with the step-up program and get a new mobo(for PCI-E) and get a 7800GT or something and trade my card in?

you'd have to get a new CPU too, there aren't any s478 mobos with PCIe. But yeah, a 7900GT would be a huge step up from a 6800GS.

if you have the opportunity, then go for it.
sorry to say that, but i do think you NEED to upgrade your rig if you use it for gaming. CPU, mobo, ram, PSU...

if you dun play game, then dun bother.
