That's how my OC is. It is fine when it's getting used at 95%, but God forbid the extra 4% being used crashes it. frown.gif

i think 460 vregs are pretty much same location/size.

At first, I lachen.gif at the price tag of $10 to just be able to screw it onto the card rather than use thermal adheasive.

Artic Cooling sells kits for the 460's that include a ton more heatsinks you can use to cover the whole card, or for other things at 7.95 plus free shipping.

I'm still here.

It is not too hot, but it is hotter than mine has ever been. I think we should work on the cooling situation. Do you know how to flash the cards bios to unlock the fan to 100%? What case do you have? What fans are setup in it?

I doubt the TIM is used up. You could replace it though. I suggest MX-4 on it.

EDIT: I am going to take off my fan tonight and see what kind of heatsinks would fit on what parts with the fan on the card. I know the memory chip heatsinks won't fit, but the VRM heatsinks may.

Okay question here. As stated before someones OC would crash after playing BF3 for a couple of minutes, would not using the beta drivers be the issue? I'm using the 280.26 drivers and not the beta ones, would that be a cause of my card crashing?

Sure could be considering how new the game is. Any other games crash?

we're talking about $2-3 dollars difference. I don't think too many people will care about 3 dollars, as long as it gets the job done. on a side note I don't know about you but i've had bad experiences with adhesive where it would simply fall off after a period of time, so personally i do prefer screws over tape.

I have had 3 sets of these heatsinks and none have fell off. You get a lot more heatsinks for less. I just thought it would be a good alternative.

In fact, I would send one for shipping cost only. I got a set for free off a guy on here, I did not use all of them.
