Every once and awhile my "new"(posted in specs) computer will just shutdown and fail to auto-reboot. afterwords it takes a small eternity for windows to fully load. It usually only happens after playing CS:S or, more rarely, some other 3d intense game for a couple hours.

I get the windows has revcoverd from a serious error thingy and i send in the error report, and got this back:

Ive run the Nvidia control panel's temp montior on my other monitor while play CS:S and it can get close to 70C, andd seems to be minorly artifacting. Over heat or bad card? sry to ask 2 questions, one a little off topic...

I used to have some random reboot issues b4 while just navigating windows, or the web, but i fixed those a while ago...

any ideas?

70C isnt a bad temp for cards, but artifacting is always bad.

You could always take your side case off and put a big fan blowing at your computer and see if it still artifacts or errors. (lol)

In my watercooling setup nvidia control panel said my cards loaded at 33C and thats just not possible.

Also i noticed that even with watercoooling if i overclocked my card by even 1mhz it was unstable.

Try reinstalling your Card/mobo drivers.

My 7800GTX was fine at 86C on load even after 7 hours of gaming (did this for 3 months).

If you overclocked your card i would remove the overclock, and since its says its a driver issue just completely reinstall mobo/graphic card drivers..I would do sound card drivers to (creative has caused me alot of problems in the past)
