So Microsoft Bootvis is "suppose" to quicken your boot time, but does it move files to the front of the drive, thus creating fragmented files? I have a fresh install of windows, just 2 days old and according to windows needs to be defraged badly. Any insights?

UM No its not

Please note that Bootvis.exe is not a tool that will improve boot/resume performance for end users. Contrary to some published reports, Bootvis.exe cannot reduce or alter a system's boot or resume performance.

see http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system...t/bootvis.mspx

Shouldn't there be a shorter word for "monosyllabic"?thinking.gif
