is there a alternate software to upload songs on to your ipod and able to play them because itunes takes so much Cpu power on this build it makes the songs lagg

Winamp is iPod compatible. That's the only one i know of...

Don't you just love apple?

I am pretty sure iTunes is the only way my man...

Edit: As said above me, winamp. I didn't know that. Then again, I have no worries because iTunes doesn't lag me up. (not to brag or anything. lol)

It depends on which iPod you have, but you could install RockBox on your iPod. Then you could just click and drag you music to anywhere on your iPod.
Only downside is it won't play DRM'd music, but you can still use the stock iPod firmware for that.

Yeah Pentium series cpu's are going away pretty fast. Still, I can't imagine iTunes running madly slow. Maybe you need to clean it up some. Maybe a defrag and such? When was the last time you reformatted?

That's what I used. I only ever used iTunes to update my Nano, and to put 2 pics on it.
