I'm confused here. A state that happens now and then Does this mean that the Dallas server is not byte level data replicated? Is it a data storage for backup?

We have a multi-horned connection at our Toronto DC which provides us with a fault-tolerant web connection. We have 2 web servers at the Toronto DC that provide for http redundancy. We have one DB server which can not be redundant for many performance and security reasons.

The Dallas server is one of our NameServers - plus it hosts OverclockStatus.net so that we can provide updates for when Overclock.net is down. The Dallas server really has nothing to do with the redundancy aspect of our site other than from a NS perspective. There really is no good way to instantly move serving priority from Toronto to Dallas for a site that is DB driven without creating DNS, performance and security issues.

OC.net is back! Yay! I have a social life again!

Some people live on this earth to do great things... Unfortunately, most are here simply because it's illegal to kill them.

Yay!!! I was beginning to freak out, opening the site with multiple browers, different computers, etc. Glad to know it wasn't in my head or maybe the IT dept. somehow banned this URL!

Actually, if I was a MB maker, I'd be getting :swearing: and then doh.gif and eek.gif and laugher.gif @ that pile of :turd: concept of marketing.
