Why don't u guys use the Logitech F710?
It is designed to work well with the computer. Has both x-input for new games and d-input for older ones. Logitech also provides a software to assign keyboard keys to the controller in case the game doesn't support a controller.
I'm not advertising, but my F510 (same thing but wired) works so great, so I'm sharing my opinion ,

Not a fan of the analog sticks being right next to each other like that. Just doesn't feel right. If there was a decent controller laid out like the 360 one that wasn't a madcatz(lol) then I would totally give it a try.

what do you mean designed to work with a computer?
you clearly have never looked on the back of a wired xbox controller, it says designed for windows on it.
has the genuine windows logo on it.

For the record OP I own one of the silver controllers with improved D-Pad and I enjoy it a lot. The D-Pad improvement is really nice, especially for someone who uses it a lot. I don't have a wireless adapter to use it for Windows, but I'm assuming it'd work just fine. It's the same as the others wireless xbox controllers.
