Well from what I've seen, theres only two types of players in CS:S; campers and rushers. Especially in maps like Dust, both sides of the team are always rushing into the tunnels. The T's rush in, to plant the bomb and the CT's rush in, to prevent them from planting the bomb.

Its not just the wavering scope that makes sniping in DoD:S more difficult, its the fact that you dont have a crosshair when your not zoomed in. That makes it a lot harder to take out an enemy when theyre in close range. Even if you whip out your pistol the inaccuracy and slower rate of fire isnt enough to take out someone with a submachine gun.

since when do you have a crosshair when you're not scoped in cs? you most definitely can drain that pistol real fast on an enemy in dod.

Well maybe things have changed for CS:S because its been a long time since I've played but there was crosshair for the sniper rifles when you were not zoomed in.

You have the wrong idea, then. A camper stays in one spot, regardless of the circumstances, and refuses to complete the objective (or even try). If you are on a team that is stuck at a chokepoint (ie: tunnel in de_dust) then there's not a whole lot a person can do without his teams help. He has no choice but to "camp" (in a pub with players who won't listen, anyway)

Rushing and being Rambo aren't exactly the same. Rushing needs to be done sometimes to beat the enemy to a point or deploy a strategy. A Rambo just runs anywhere and aims for the head. If you can't see the game as anything more than "rushing and camping" then I don't think you understand it enough to criticize it.
redsunx and Choggs396 like this.

forgive me if I hesitate.
