Judging by the fact that Sprint charges an extra $10 a month for having a 4G phone, whether or not you have 4G in your area, I would say yes.

You have a 980x, and you're worried about it being overclocked... Slight problem here.

That's quite the error in reasoning - so i'll commit one myself - Verizon for the equivalent plan is already 20$ a month more than Sprint, so I would assume that they wouldn't be. I'm just wondering if there's any clear news out there. The last article I read back in November (wsj) indicated that there would be no extra charge.

Pending the official announcements from CES, it's a tentative yes for me. I am terminating my ATT contract at it's end in February and plan to switch to Verizon. The only way that I will end up getting another phone is if I find out there is a non-motorola, dual-core, LTE phone coming by Feb.

EDIT: Oh the sadness, I just found out that I will not be ending my contract until April. I guess the upside to that is that there is a better chance of LTE, Dual-core goodness if I wait until then.
ya if the rumors are true I am getting this phone if not I am waiting til a dual core HTC comes out

Right. Only 1GHz, too. And it's coming with Froyo installed.

I was okay with knowing it was a single core, but the reading I've done is saying expect it some time towards the middle of the year. If that's the case, FORGET ABOUT IT. If it really is around the halfway point of the year, it'd be stupid to purchase it. Most other companies should be releasing dualies by then, with faster clocks to boot.

This would be a great phone to have this month or really early next month. Outside of that..you're probably better off just waiting. God 1@#$*@#$*it.

+2.

Droid Bionic is essentially a Motorola Atrix with half the RAM (512mb only) and without support for the Webtop add-on. Everything else is the same (qHD screen, Tegra 2 processor, etc.) so it should be a great Verizon phone.
