I had a 1000 watts myself and i have worked with the 650 watts version before

Overall i rather like it but its not really cheap

On the other hand it is in my mind the best Super Flower Golden Green you can buy

Its also 80 plus platinum despite it says 80 plus gold

Super Flower PSUs unfortunately are not an option for me - the only place I can find it is random Amazon sellers shipping from Germany, and I'm not going to risk buying one that doesn't come with a warranty/is cheap to return to if something goes wrong.

The NZXT not being modular does not matter to me, I don't need it to be modular.

Super Flower Golden Green is around £90 here from random Amazon sellers and no warranty.
NZXT HALE90-550-S is £77.40 and I get free shipping and a 5 year warranty - seems like better value to me.

Is the NZXT HALE90-550-S what you would buy then? Or are there any other alternative 550w PSUs I should be looking at?

Oh, sorry I misread what you said - I thought you had said the best you could buy *was* a Super Flower Golden Green.

An 80 Plus platinum PSU for under £80 seems good to me. Unless anyone else has other suggestions before I get home this evening, I'll likely just end up ordering that then.
