Great that it's working again!

If a computer store fixed it, that would be amazing because few of them have techs who know how to solder. It's a lot safer to have that kind of work done by a TV or hi-fi repair shop -- maybe cheaper, too..

Is that capacitor CapXon brand? CapXon is one of the worst and is found in lots of LCD TVs and monitors and in some PSUs made by FSP, like the early Antec BasiQs. CapXons are so bad they can fail just sitting in storage.
