Hey guys, I have been in talks with Enermax RMA department, those guys are pretty awesome they even offered me to upgrade to higher wattage, but I just don't really need to right now.

Here is my issue:

I'm hearing a buzzing when I'm playing video games, what's really odd it was extremely loud at one point when I was playing Far Cry 3 and Prototype 2, like buzz was interrupting my train of though and was sporadic.

At one point I thought it was my hard-drive because it would sound irregular like HDD does.

In your humble opinion, do you think it's the PSU issue?

I'm stupefied because I just upgraded the video card and noise gradually subsided, but is still there when I'm playing Bioshock Infinite (which clearly drives more force than previous games), now it's just very smooth, less loud, but is there constant.

It has a long zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound....I'm concerned about PSU

Enermax offered me a RMA with no hassle, but my question do I really need to RMA it, or is it really part of the design?

Would love to hear an opinion who had several brand PSUs to compare.

I do not believe I'm maxing the power. I have about 140 Watt GPU, 112 CPU, 30w Motherboard (somewhere there), 7 fans, 1 hard-drive. (DVD player is not plugged into the PSU)

I thought I was overloading it at first, but when I was explained that I only draw 140 and not 300 on GPU I can confidently say the issue lays in the inherent design or the problem with PSU.

Anyone got an input on this.

The buzzing (zzzz) sound kind of sounds like a low hum of the electricity (no sparks, but sounds like a transformer box, which essentially PSU is).

Just a bit worried, but also concerned if I need to be.

Because if it's normal, don't want to spend time and money RMA-ing something for EXACT same thing. If you know what I mean.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Bad coil? Bad Cap?

I'm a rookie when it comes to PSU, so any info would be appreciated.

Yep, I'm very meticulous in isolating the problem. I manually stopped every fan, it's definitely PSU.

What's bothering me is that it was quiet before I upgraded to AMD FX 8320, so I thought I was driving it too much now, but then it's not pushing it to 500 W max it can pull.

Question is how loud can it get? Enermax was very quiet before the upgrade, but then if you follow wattage logic if I upgraded GPU to something that drives PSU more = MORE SOUND....nope....upgraded from 105 watt GPU to 140 GPU and it actually got more quiet.

Hmmmmm......

I'm surprised nobody dropped more comments here, can't be only me. Especially when I see a bunch of threads in google but for different models.

Anyone has experience with NAXN by Enermax?
