Hi All,

My CM GX650 went out for the 2nd time and this time is no longer available for replacement. Initially I was told I could take a G700 or Thunder 700. Which Are entry level.

After a few heated mails they have agreed to give me a GXII 650(2013 model)

Which would be a better option, One reason Im looking at the G700 is coz of the 4x6PCIe Power cables (Usefull for my CFX setup)

G700 - http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/powersupply/g-series/g700.html

GX II 650 - http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/powersupply/gaming-gxii-series/gxii-650w.html

Thanks In advance

The GXII has slightly better performance, but the G700 does have the connectors you need. It's a tossup in my book.

Burning books is like burning bras; after the adrenaline rush of the symbolic moment wears off all you're left with is a pile of ashes and unsupported boobs.

Thanks for your reply. Is the performance significantly better? How about reliability ? Both appear to be 80+ Bronze certified. Wondering if its plain ole marketing techniques selling the "Gaming" name at a higher cost.

Any further expert advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again!!

He probably would not get an upgrade from a GX650 to a V550S or V650S, at least not at launch.

The GXII should have about 20-30mV lower +12V ripple and comparable voltage regulation. It's also a slightly more robust design. The G series is slightly lower cost than GXII, but isn't awful or anything.

Yup, I doubt I'll get the VS. But thanks for the advice and suggestion.
