Then I guess you can't feed them the food sold in bags, as it's just as processed as the cheeseburger...

Give a dog a cheeseburger to eat and see what happens.

I'd feed the human for a FAR simpler reason that any of you have cited, and the most logical. A dog is designed to be a scavanger. Regardless of where you are, if you are willing you can find something edibile that will provide you atleast some sustenance in the garbage. The dog can eat this most of the thing and not suffer any ill effects, while the human could die of food poisoning. Feed the man, the dog will find something to eat.

Drastic exaggeration. You also can buy 100% natural dog food (in bags).

I'd walk by the homeless person while looking at the ground, take the dog to the humane society, and eat the food I had.

Everyone wins.

ok so a dog cant eat a cheeseburger. i think we all got that. lets say the food was a ham and cheese sandwich. my wife is a veterinarian, and yes dogs can have ham and cheese!!!

Apologies.... but that is not always the case.

Yes. There are inherently lazy people who have no problem living out the life of a remora or a leech, continually expending great effort simply so they don't have to do anything.

I also know a handful of Veterans that were not able to re-integrate into society. Their past hangs over them like a guillotine, the shame, the guilt, the unaswered questions; "Why did I have to do that", "What was it all for? Things haven't changed."... but that is another topic for another place.

Me: I'd tear the sandwich in half and give them each a piece.
