RMA'd a motherboard, my backplate was stuck to the back and I forgot to remove it. I have a Hyper 212+ with no backplate now. :/

If I get that free Hyper 212+ in the freebies, I'll send it to you if you pay the postage (or better yet, I'll ask the OP to ship it to you). I have no need for it anyways.

Upgrades which are in consideration: U2713HM | Samsung 830 256GB | Keycaps | Sleeving | AX1200i
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

You should also get some Apple stickers so it won't get viruses, an Alienware logo so it can play games amazingly and some Razer gear so everyone knows you are totally 1337.

I only need the backplate, would save on shipping too.

Except they've already "caught up" to AMD with the HD 4000/3000. Sure, they're not as fast, but comparing Intel GMA to Intel HD, the difference is night/day. Especially considering HD 4000 is within 40% of AMD's highest-end APU and HD 5000 is expected to deliver 300% better 3D performance, Intel doesn't really have to beat AMD here. HD 4000 is probably already at the "good enough" point for most people.

If you only need the backplate then I'll keep the AP15s. Need a few fans so it'll be perfect.

There are no guarantees I'll win though.

I'm holding out 'til Skylake, I just upgraded from a Celeron to the 3770k and whoa boy, the speed is immense.

This will last me at least 3 years, and then will be retired for my server tongue.gif

doh.gif Most rational people consider "caught up" to mean negligible difference between the 2. HD 3000 is 30% behind 6620G - in no way was that caught up. HD 4000 is 20% behind 7660G, again, not caught up especially considering the 7660G is ~50% faster in some games, and at best the HD 4000 is negligibly faster in a couple games. Put another way, suppose you were given an option of an i3/i5/i7 with 7660G graphics, or with HD 4000, both would cost the same - the only reason to go with HD 4000 would be for Quicksync.I won't even start on Trinity desktop, which will completely blow away HD 4000.

Though yes, I heard more like 2.5x the speed of HD 4000, perhaps triple. The whole point of faster integrated graphics isn't "good enough for most", it's "good enough for most casual gamers, and smooth 2D usage with high-res/Retina displays". Apple wanted GT3 now for the MBP Retina, and if it really is as fast as it's claimed, the performance would've only been 20% or so behind Nvidia 650M. Again, not "caught up" (not that it needs to be), but close enough considering the price differential between integrated and discrete graphics.
