My 7770 will do until the release of these card's, have to see prices but the 8950 is sufifcient for my needs though if the 8970 is a little more i will go that way smile.gif it seems the only difference is a few shaders and a little more mem clock

Over 10 TFLOPS SP... drool.gif

If accurate, the 8970 looks like it'll compete well with GK110, at least in compute.

260w TDP is high for single GPU.

It has 25% more shaders than HD7970. I don't see anything revolutionary about those new GPUs

All I hope is that they are priced fair and none of the extreme price gouging that happened when 28nm just came out. I know there were yield issues, but AMD lost my business with exorbitantly expensive 7xxx cards. Prices have since changed, but I went green instead since nvidia at the time was actually cheaper than AMD for comparable performance.

Really want to jump ship back to AMD since I've been impressed with what they have been doing these past few months and the amount of potential they seem to have.

It says Q4 2012 for 8975/50. I suppose the news we heard about them being delayed came after this graphic then, because it would have to be coming out very soon...

260W is high. Thats worst than the 580, and the 480 I believe. Its like nvidia and amd are trading places.
