I imagine it'll still be a close fight at 1440P, but maybe Fiji will just decidedly outpace the Titan X only at 4K. I firmly maintain my opinion that the only people buying these at 1080p should be doing 120/144 FPS, though. 1920x1080 and 60 FPS... I just don't see how anyone needs anything beyond 290X/980 level for that unless they're downsampling, in which case it's not really 1080p anymore anyway. But anyway, if the rumors are true and they're doubling ROPs again as well as bandwidth, it seems natural that its best showing will be at 4K.

I'm hyped.

With VSR/DSR around,1080p is starting to feel a bit irrelevant for those cards though.

At this point AMD seriously needs to release a powerful card. They are bleeding market share and without their direct competition the market is stagnating. Realistically if AMD could put together a solid driver team and actually release their coming hardware they could pull a good bit of market share from Nvidia in the coming months and make a solid push for the holiday season.

Well, I just tried playing TW3 for the first time. I can now safely say, whenever the 390X finally rolls around...

This 980... it's just not quite good enough for 1440p and 60 FPS.
