Hello everybody,

I'm considering a new case. I want something smaller than my Elite 341 but still allowing good/decent airflow.

I have my eyes on the Silverstone SG03B-F case. If I was to get it, I would more than likely get one of these exhaust fans, or anything that is quieter but still effective.

Has anyone else had this case, or a similar model? What are your thoughts on it? Would you buy this case again? I would be doing overclocking on an air cooler, nothing crazy (maybe 4.6ghz on Sandy Bridge when I get one, or 3.8ghz if I get a 1090t).

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Please keep in mind I want a case smaller than my Elite 341. Preferably with 120mm fans too. Please do not recommend the Vulcan. I have had one before and it doesn't fit securely on my desk. Also it must support mATX. I do not want mini-ITX (yet).

The SilverStone TJ08 is a better case than the Sugo 03 but only just slightly smaller overall.

There's not a whole lot smaller than the CM Elite 341 & Silverstone TJ08.

The biggest problem with cases like the Sugo 03 & Sugo 04 is that they have no room for CPU cooling or cables for that matter. If you do get one, you may be able to fit an Antec Kuhler 620 in there; but that'll be your best option for cooling.

Would there be enough room for a low profile cooler like the GeminII S from Cooler Master if I was to get the SG03B-F though? I would prefer going with a cooler like that so I can get some airflow onto the VRMs, North Bridge (if I stay AMD), and RAM.

The only thing with the TJ08 that I don't like is, well... I think it's pretty dang ugly. And this is coming from a guy who thinks the HAF series looks good and the Antec DF Series and Antec 600 cases are some amazing looking cases. tongue.gif But I'll keep it in my suggestions, however I'm leaning if I decide for the TJ08 I'll just keep the 341.

If I was to get the SG03B-F eventually I'd be getting one of those Silverstone PSUs with the short cables as well. I'm considering that anyway regardless if I go with a new case or keep with my 341.

How would this case be against the SG03B-F and the 341?

The Lian-Li is nice, but if you're going cube then the Lan-Gear Da Box 100 Blackheart.
It's hands down the best cube case on the market.

Also; no the Gemini II S won't fit, it's too tall. The only low profile cooler that's good that would fit is the Prolimatech Samuel17

I'm actually in the same boat as you are. I am trying to wait for the TJ08-E but I don't know how much more I can wait.

Any idea when it comes out?

Also the Da Box looks nice, but it's pretty expensive for what I'm willing to fork over for a case. I'm thinking around $120 will be the most I'll spend.

I was looking forward for the Fractical Mini Arc until I saw how long it was.

And that sucks about the GeminII S in the SG03B-F. Do you think it could fit in the Lian Li case though?

Yeah it can fit in the Lian Li case.

TJ08-E is supposed to come out Q02 - 2011 so sometime between now and June is the ETA.

I have an SG03 that I modded to have a 120 exhaust in the top and I get great temps.

Hi Kvjavs
What I'm getting from newegg for specs on your 341:
15.75" x 7.28" x 14.37"

and this new fractal design case:
19.05" x 8.27" x 15.94"

lol, after I did the mm to in conversions, the case was bigger than I thought.

Are you looking for a case that has a smaller height, or something that has less volume?

Smaller height would be nice. Length too but not essential. I'm really leaning towards the SG03B-F and the Lian Li posted right now. But still am undecided.

This won't be anytime soon. I won't be making a purchase until I get my tax money back and if any Bulldozer benchmarks get leaked.

I'm thinking by the time I am ready to make a purchase, that new Silverstone will be released.
