So long as you're not blaring for parties or doing critical listening, this should do you fine for $455 + shipping. I don't have a sub, but my Infinity P163s get plenty loud with that amp, especially for nearfield listening, and the amp doesn't get hot at all (my DTA-100 got pretty warm). You can adjust the speakers according to your listening requirements, but most any decent bookshelf speaker will put the Promedia set to shame.

If you want to knock the budget down a little further even, I would highly recommend the Infinity speakers (about $170 for a pair new from amazon).

Heatware // OCN Creed: "Room too cold? Overclock More"

Audio Setup: Sound Blaster Z (optical out) -> & Marantz SR7000 -> AKG K712 & Pair Ar2x-c speakers.

The specs on those speakers are a joke. 24hz with a 6 1/2 driver.

It has a 10" radiator on the side, but many people know that Definitive Technology skews their specs. Granted they do make some good stuff.

Yea, the specs on those are no where near real, but for the cost I've heard good things about said speakers as well. Personally I'd save the extra money and get Infinities, but I'm biased as I adore mine... I wish I had the funds to get the 363s and get rid of my Jamo setup for my home theatre... or just have the funds to go all out ARX speakers for both my PC & Home Theater... Ahh to dream....rolleyes.gif
