So i want a soundcard. Apparently EAX makes games sound alot better and makes the sound sound so much deeper and crisper.

My question is...which soundcard should I get?

My flatmate has an audigy 4 and I just told him about them danielK drivers which have now allowed him to enable eax in vista.

I too am running vista and have a creative fatality headset so I was wondering what would be the best soundcard (not too expensive please)

Bear in mind I play alot of games, listen to music, watch films and I NEED to be able to use my mic aswell

They are basically the same. The Music is preferable, but is very hard to find.

I love my Fatality Xtreme Gamer. However, if you are big into the color inside your case, get the other one. The Fatality has a red light logo while the Music (I believe) has a blue light.

xtreme music is nutorious for driver issues espically in vista
while xtreme gamer is the newer version of the card, which is also cheaper
i do not know the diffrence between them, besides the fact xtreme music is no longer in production

I'd go with the XtremeGamer as it is retail instead of OEM. It is almost identical to the XtremeMusic.

The Fatal1ty version offers X-RAM is which mainly a marketing gimmick and won't offer anything extra from the other 2 X-Fi cards mentioned.
