I used mine to cool the back of my socket on the AMD rig.

No match for a 25mm on a rad tho, they literally were my last resort If I couldnt get the necessary spacing to thread the tube to the pass thrus.
As you say,the specs look usable tho.

If only we could get decent static pressure 15mm fans. Then again, we're having a hard time with 25mm.

Static pressure is not the be all-end all metric, any half decent fan will work well, there are quite a few decent fans if you dont mind paying the money.
You can also look at 38mm fans, these blow 25mm fans away...quite literally. I had some UltraKazes that were awesome on a thick old skool GTX rad...if a little loud. You can help lesser fans with decent gasket sealing on the frame.

Sadly you cant get away from blade pitch = Pressure...which only a thicker fan will provide.

Its a decent fan, nothing ground breaking but if you need to move some air it will do a nice job, can be a tad too loud for my ears though on full load but I'm a silence freak. biggrin.gif

It would of been perfect for the clearance issue if I hadn't could the right combo of extensions instead. I had to use a pair of dplugs in the end,the advantage of which is that i have -/+2mm of wiggle room.

Progress will be fast, most of the metal work is cut, doing the final fitting and base paint by end of the weekend,it will certainly start to look more finished then. Ordered the stock and tooling for the res too, hopefully PARVUM will come thru otherwise I'm learning acrylic machining too....XD

Sorry if I missed where you wrote the answer to this... but why use two psu's instead of one more powerful?

The roughing cutouts have been done, now to get the res made for the front and a more form fitting cutout for the GPU terminals/SLI bridge. I will machine that later today I think.....

After that...PAINT TIME!

I love the way I can see a lot of the hardware from 3 sides,so much so that clear coolant maybe the way forward.

5mm clearance from the top of the case to the GPU's......
