http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226236

I've had this for about 2 years, I've got about 30GB free, which means I've got 80GB used.

Windows 8 OS...

Like what the heck? My tablet feels faster than this... TRIM is enabled. AHCI mode. My laptop only has a sata II controller tho is what I read...

Running Intel rapid storage tech 12.5.0.1066

Why you so slow? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Run a manual TRIM command and use ATTO to benchmark.

Unfortunately, based on numerous reviews, TRIM doesn't seem to have much effect on SF drives.

what's slow? That is the speed it delivers in AS SSD lol

f you want advertised speed you have to use ATTO.

Nah. It's a bit higher on a fresh drive (~200MB/s read and ~150MB/s for SF-2281 with 120GB async).

ATTO Disk Benchmark - as can be inferred from the name, it's benchmarking software to test disk speed.

It's in a laptop/tablet, thus even more loss in benches. I was accounting for it. tongue.gif

Ah, didn't notice the laptop part. I always seem to miss stuff when I'm browsing using a tablet. Looks like it's SATA II also.

Still, I think performance would probably be better after a secure erase. Can't imagine the tablet being faster to be true, though, even if comparing to steady-state SF dealing with incompressible data. I've got a bunch of Android tablets and smartphones as well as a couple of iPads and everytime I'm installing apps or downloading data, the storage bottleneck is obvious. You could also forget about boot times. Even my laptop with 5400RPM HDD (soon to be replaced with the EVO 1TB, yay!) boots faster than any of my Android/iOS tablets.

Oh bummer, my unlocked, rooted, and overclocked to 1.74ghz nexus 7 2013 boots faster than my desktop...lol takes only about 10seconds to boot the nexus 7...

Still haven't been able to figure it out. I just can't believe my access times would be that bad... I figured on
Sata II it would be bad but not that bad....

I know this is a 4 month old thread but don't feel like starting a new one. I'm having same issue, low benchmarks with AS SSD and Crystadiskmark. ATTO says its at advertised speeds. Can someone please explain to me why ATTO must be used and why these other are "inaccurate"?
