ive been having intermittent blue screens for a while now......i thought this was down to my new gfx card or my new ram frown.gif

today my pc decided to crash and blue screen and then tell me no boot media is installed on startup....despite the disk being seen in bios.

i put the ssd in another pc and i could see and read all the files on it......i then put it back in the original pc and the same message occurred.

i put it back in my other pc and now it says the disk is unreadable and needs formatting......so im doing a full format. which is taking its time :s

anyone else had problems with drevo ssd's?

that really sucks. sounds like it's throwing errors / going out on you just from first thought.

had you attempted to see if there is a firmware update for this SSD?

drevos site only has a data migration tool.......no firmware updates as far as i can see.

the format has worked and the drive is usable again......ive reinstalled windows and all seems ok so far. just going through the laborious task of reinstalling everything.......hopefully it wont spag out again but who knows.

it still spagging out and blue screening occasionally.....

i think it appears to mess with the boot order in the bios removing the ssd from the options. making me have to change it after each blue screen and reset.

annoyingly if i had of caught this earlier i probably wouldnt of had to of reinstalled windows.......

and im still no closer to isolating wether my problem is the ssd......i could try my pc on an old hdd i have but its 80gb and painfullly slow.

Can you post SMART data of the drive? Also did you install proper SATA/AHCI driver for your mobo? I have noticed that sometimes some SSDs do not work well with inbox MS AHCI drivers and they are more reliable with Intel or AMD AHCI drivers.

crystal disk reported the ssd as fine.....:S

however it did show up an amber warning(relocated sectros count) about one of my two hdd i have in a windows raid0 array..... i only use this drive for storage and some programs.
other than this it appears to be ok. but knowing my luck its that thats the problem

the correct drivers for my mobo are installed.

i have reluctantly started testing with a regular 80gb hdd as my main OS disk to see if the errors replicate. its painfully slow.....if the same errors don't happen i know it was the ssd frown.gif if they do happen i can have a look at my "dodgey" hdd array and see if thats ruining my day :s

thanks for the help

It seems like the SSD may be a cause of your issues indeed. I just wanted to see it's SMART data in order to compare it to other drevo x1 pro.
