I really enjoy the forum here at OCN. I am also a member at that other #1 forum, but it hurts my eyes. :heyyou:Kyle.

I want to replace my home file server, a venerable and seriously bullet proof Dell Poweredge 2900 with something more modern and of course, Coremageddon capable. I primarily use it for file serving with a couple of virtual machines for questionable software and other activities :drink:.

What would be the most powerful folding machine possible today? Are the new V2 Xeons really enough to displace a budget 4P rig?

Nothing wrong w/2900's...I own two ( mail/www)...they just can't fold. Stick w/E5 series 2P's and 4P's for that..or at least some Opterons
